RICHMOND, Ky. - Eastern Kentucky University's men's golf team is competing Monday and Tuesday in the Legends of Indiana Golf Tournament in Franklin, IN.
EKU is coming off a stellar performance in its own tourney, the 25th annual EKU Colonel Classic as EKU won by four strokes over Louisville and Western Kentucky in the 13-team field.
"The guys played really well," said EKU men's golf coach Pat Stephens. "This strong win at home is a real confidence booster for the whole team as we continue on with our fall schedule."
Senior Andy Games paced the Colonels with a second-place finish with his 54-hole total of 212, four-under-par. Completing Eastern's entries were Eric Willenbrink, tied for fifth, 216; Brandon Tucker and Brad Morris, tied for 10th, 218; and Josh Lee, 16th, 219.
Eastern closes the fall season with an appearance in the Persimmon Ridge Intercollegiate in Louisville, Oct. 18-20.
