RICHMOND, Ky. - The Eastern Kentucky University men's golf team is preparing for the Persimmon Ridge Intercollegiate in Louisville, Oct. 18-20. The Colonels are coming off a 12^th place finish in the Legends of Indiana Intercollegiate in Franklin, IN, earlier this week.

EKU shot a 54-hole total of 897. Toledo won the tourney with a fantastic 15-under team total of 849 in the 18-team field. Eastern's team score was only seven strokes out of fifth place in the tightly-contested tourney.

"This was a tough course, but it really helped our guys to gain some confidence," said EKU men's golf coach Pat Stephens.

Senior Andy Games led the Colonels with his tie for 13^th place with a three-over par 219. Other Eastern scores were Eric Willenbrink (223), James Milam (229) and Brad Morris and Brandon Tucker (233 each).
